There are many reasons for the immense popularity and success of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi of which we will see Top 5 Achievements of Modi Government :

1. Goods and Services Tax (GST) Implementation: The Modi government implemented the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in July 2017 with the aim of simplifying the indirect tax structure in the country. GST replaced the complexity of indirect taxes and created a unified market, streamlining tax compliance for businesses. The gross GST revenue collected in the month of November, 2023 is ₹1,67,929 crore out of which CGST is ₹30,420 crore, SGST is ₹38,226 crore, IGST is ₹87,009 crore and cess is ₹12,274 crore.

2. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY): Launched in 2014, PMJDY is a financial inclusion program that aims to provide basic banking services to all citizens, including marginalized sections of the society. The program helped open large numbers of bank accounts, promote financial literacy and facilitate direct benefit transfers. As of 22/11/2023, Total 509941142 Jan Dhan Accounts Opened and currently Rs. 210213.6 Crore is deposited in those accounts.

3. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign): Launched in 2014, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a nationwide cleanliness campaign to address the issue of cleanliness and hygiene. The goal is to make India free from open defecation and improve waste management. The campaign has led to the construction of millions of toilets and increased awareness about sanitation practices. Total 10,90,45,923 toilets is constructed in country in SBM(G) Phase I.

4. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY): Launched in 2016, PMUY aims to provide free LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) connections to women from families below the poverty line. This initiative has helped in reducing indoor air pollution, improving women's health and promoting the use of clean cooking fuels. Number of connections released as on 22-05-2019 is 6,40,13,768.

5. Infrastructure development: The Modi government has focused on infrastructure development through initiatives such as the "Sagarmala" project for port-led development, "Bharatmala" for road connectivity and "Smart Cities Mission" for urban development. These efforts aim to enhance transportation networks, promote economic growth, and improve living standards.
